TRAFFIC AWARENESS PROGRAM
The impactful movement
Sri Sharda Group of Institutions in association with Lucknow Traffic Police organized a Traffic Awareness Program on 14th October at the inaugural of Traffic Awareness week which is from 14th October to 20th October, at prominent traffic islands of Lucknow city (Hazratganj, Bandariya Bagh, Parivartan Chowk, Kapoorthala, Chowk, Alambagh Nahariya, Telibagh, Polytechnic, Tedhi Puliya & Ahimamau). The program was inaugurated by Mr. Purnendu Singh, S.P Traffic, Lucknow. Mr. Nirmesh Singh, Vice Chairman, Prof. Vivek Mishra, Dean along with faculty members, students and eminent personalities were also present there on this occasion to support the cause.
In this program students held placards and distributed pamphlets at prominent traffic islands to create awareness regarding the traffic rules among the general public. On the inaugural program Mr. Purnendu Singh S.P traffic, Lucknow said that being responsible police personnel we are committed towards making India’s roads safer. Today most accidents are caused due to driver’s negligence and improper road etiquettes; hence it is our endeavor to educate people about road safety. During his address he said that it is imperative to reduce traffic accidents by 50% which is also the vision and aim of Honorable Shri Yogi Aditya Nath, Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh.
Mr. Nirmesh Singh, Vice Chairman said that we are organizing this activity to educate the drivers of today and the generation of tomorrow about Golden Hour, Good Samartian, Traffic Police App, No Honking, Pedestrian First etc. Prof. Vivek Mishra thanked Chief Guest Mr. Purnendu Singh, S.P Traffic, Lucknow for sparing his valuable time and encouraging students.
